About the role

We have a great opportunity for a Registered Psychologist, Social Worker or Counsellor to join our People Assist team working in Gladstone, QLD.  You will have relevant, demonstrated experience and provide counselling and wellbeing services to our diverse range of clients across the public and private sector, corporate and industry.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based solution focussed counselling with a client centred approach.  Experience working with adolescents and couples is advantageous.  You will be a valued member of an energetic, supportive and consultative team where you will be provided with supervision, coaching, professional development and encouragement to expand your skill set.

You will be exposed to opportunities to work in other service modalities across the business including critical incident response, onsite counselling, training, conflict resolution, career counselling, assessment, consulting and more. 

To be successful in this role you will have:
• A tertiary qualification in Behavioural Sciences and registration as a Psychologist, Social Worker, or a Counsellor 
• Contemporary knowledge and experience in mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation/suicide prevention
• The ability to successfully identify and manage at risk clients
• Demonstrated skills and experience in short term solution focussed counselling
• The ability to work with a varied and diverse client base
• Strong professional boundaries and ethical professional practice 
• The ability to manage automated administrative systems and online diaries using modern technology
• Be comfortable working autonomously and part of a team, contributing to your best ability
• Excellent time management and communication skills, with an agile and flexible approach
• A current driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle
